Your Life, AD&D and Disability Benefits

Basic Life and AD&D Insurance

Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance is provided to all benefit-eligible employees at no cost, with PRG covering the full premium. Offered through Reliance Standard, this benefit equals one times your annual base salary, with a minimum coverage of $50,000 and a maximum of $300,000. The AD&D benefit matches the Basic Life coverage amount. To ensure the benefit remains tax-free in the event of your death, the premium value for Basic Life coverage exceeding $50,000 (paid by the company) is included in your taxable income.

Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance

Supplemental Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance can be purchased for yourself, your spouse, and dependent children up to age 26. You are responsible for the full cost of this coverage, paid through post-tax payroll deductions.


During your initial benefit eligibility period as a new hire or during special enrollment events, you may enroll in Supplemental Life and AD&D insurance for yourself or your spouse up to guaranteed issue (GI) amounts without needing to answer medical questions. Coverage amounts exceeding the GI require you and/or your spouse to complete Evidence of Insurability (EOI) for approval by Reliance Standard. If you do not enroll when first eligible, you can still purchase coverage later, but all increases above the GI will be subject to EOI.


EOI is not required for Supplemental Child Life coverage. However, to elect Spouse and/or Dependent Child(ren) coverage, you must first elect Supplemental Employee Life coverage.

Voluntary Short-Term Disability (STD)

Short Term Disability (STD) benefits are offered through Reliance Standard on a voluntary basis. These benefits provide financial support if you are unable to work due to an injury or illness, subject to claim approval by Reliance Standard. Employees are responsible for the full cost of this coverage, which is paid through post-tax payroll deductions.

Long-Term Disability (LTD)

Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits are provided through Reliance Standard to all benefit-eligible employees. This coverage offers income protection if you become disabled for an extended period of time, subject to claim approval by Reliance Standard. Proof of disability is required for approval, and pre-existing condition limitations may apply. PRG covers the cost of this benefit, ensuring financial support during prolonged periods of disability.
